Christmas @ Ayala Triangle

While its true that this blog is trying to share my thoughts and encounters as a struggling financial analyst, it also aims to share my “non-work” experiences while being employed in the country’s financial district. Let me start by sharing how nice the Christmassy feeling is at Ayala Triangle.

Last Thursday, November 19, 2009, Ayala Triangle unveiled the Ayala Triangle Gardens and made it open to the public. The garden is said to be Ayala’s biggest public landscape–20,000 sq. m. of well-manicured lawns, tree-lined pathways and Wifi zones, and it even features an exhibit of abstract sculpture and kinetic installations.

However, what really made Ayala Triangle Gardens a must-see for the Christmas season is its Christmas-themed theater of lights, or more known as “Symphony of Lights”.

From Nov. 20 to Dec. 24, from Monday to Friday, 6 to 7:30 p.m, the garden will present three 10-minute light and sound shows every 30 minutes, created by light designer Voltaire de Jesus and sound designer Jethro Joaquin. The themes will feature medleys celebrating Christ’s birth, Filipino Christmas songs and community celebrations.

I had the chance to witness how this works. Indeed, it’s really beautiful. Perhaps no camera or videocam can give justice to how nice the theater of lights really is.

If ever you cannot find time to visit the Ayala Triangle Gardens, you this video I found online might have to do.
